Catacombs & Chimeras
A fantasy RPG with a twist: in C&C, characters are made up of a selection of normal polyhedral dice (d4, d6, d8, d10, d12) that are rolled for all tests, but which dice characters are made from affects what they’re good at.
Aside from that, we’re aiming for classic fantasy, with an old-school feel, however possibly this may expand to cover other styles of game, depending on how things go with the project.
This game is still currently in-development, so if you purchase it through the links below, you’ll not only get the current version, but any future versions as they’re released (and at no extra cost, even if a future version is more expensive).
So, you get to play the early version of the game, have the opportunity to shape the final version, and get it for a lower price than the final version!
What dice do I need to play Catacombs and Chimeras?
You’ll want a selection on normal polyhedral dice.
At least one d20, ideally one per player, for wounds and exhaustion. Multiple per player could be useful for when multiple level are taken at once, but it should be unusual that more than two or three would get rolled at once.
A selection of several each of d4, d6, d8, d10, and d12. Ideally, each player will need enough dice to roll their entire character pool. This starts at three dice, but will go up as characters gain experience. Which dice a character needs doesn’t change (aside from gaining one new die each time they level up).
